Welcome to Car Hangout – a community built by car enthusiasts, for car enthusiasts. To keep our platform safe, respectful, and enjoyable for everyone, we ask all users to follow these Community Guidelines. By using the app, you agree to these rules in addition to our Terms & Conditions, EULA, and Privacy Policy.

1. Respect the Community

• Treat others with courtesy and respect.
• No harassment, hate speech, bullying, threats, or discrimination.
• Healthy debates are welcome, but personal attacks are not.

2. Share Relevant & Authentic Content

• Car Hangout is for showcasing cars, builds, events, and creativity.
• Do not post spam, misleading information, fake accounts, or scams.
• Event listings must be accurate and honest.
• Photos and videos must be your own or used with permission.

3. Keep It Safe

• Do not post content that promotes or glorifies dangerous, illegal, or reckless activity.
• Street racing or illegal activity is strictly prohibited.
• Use Track Mode and similar features responsibly and never while actively driving.
• Performance data in Track Mode is for entertainment only and not professional measurement.

4. No Unauthorized Advertising

• The DriveBy feed is for creators and car enthusiasts to share cars and content – not for flyers or advertisements.
• Businesses, vendors, and event organizers must use Vendor Lane or official advertising options.
• Contact Car Hangout if you'd like to promote an event, brand, or service.

5. Protect Intellectual Property

• Only post content you own or have permission to share.
• Respect copyrights, trademarks, and others' creative work.
• We comply with DMCA requests and may remove infringing material.

6. Appropriate & Family-Friendly Content

• No pornography, explicit nudity, or sexually suggestive material.
• Avoid obscene, excessively violent, or offensive content.
• Swearing or mature themes may be removed if excessive or inappropriate.

7. Impersonation & Misrepresentation

• Do not impersonate another person, organizer, vendor, or public figure.
• Fake accounts, misleading profiles, or false claims of affiliation are not allowed.

8. Illegal Goods & Services

• Do not sell, advertise, or promote illegal or dangerous items, including: stolen parts, counterfeit products, drugs, weapons, or unlicensed modifications.

9. Alcohol, Tobacco & Drugs

• Do not promote underage drinking, illegal drug use, or irresponsible consumption of alcohol or tobacco products.
• Event-related content must not encourage unsafe or unlawful behavior.

10. Fair Play in Challenges & Reviews

• Do not manipulate votes, reviews, or ratings in Challenge My Ride, Vendor Lane, or other features.
• Fake reviews, coordinated boosting, or artificially inflating likes/followers are prohibited.

11. Event Responsibility

• Organizers are solely responsible for ensuring events comply with laws, permits, and safety requirements.
• Users attend events at their own risk – Car Hangout is not responsible for event safety or logistics.
• Do not post private or ticketed event details without the organizer's consent.

12. Vendor & Marketplace Standards

• Vendors must provide accurate descriptions, honor posted pricing, and comply with consumer protection laws.
• Vendors are responsible for handling refunds, disputes, and customer service directly with buyers.
• Fraudulent or misleading vendor activity will result in removal from Car Hangout.

13. Financial Transactions & Scams

• No pyramid schemes, phishing attempts, fake "investment" opportunities, or fraudulent financial offers.
• Users may not use Car Hangout to solicit money under false pretenses.

14. No Data Harvesting or Bots

• Do not use bots, scrapers, or unauthorized tools to collect data from Car Hangout.
• Automated activity that disrupts the app or misuses user data is prohibited.

15. Self-Harm & Dangerous Behavior

• Do not post content that promotes or encourages self-harm, suicide, or substance abuse.
• Posts that glamorize dangerous personal behavior will be removed.

16. Animal Safety

• Content showing cruelty or harm to animals is prohibited.
• Respect animals at car shows, meets, and events.

17. Multiple Accounts & Account Sharing

• Users may not create or operate multiple accounts to evade enforcement or manipulate content.
• Selling, transferring, or sharing accounts is not allowed.

18. Political & Sensitive Content

• Car Hangout is not a platform for political campaigning, extremist material, or unrelated divisive content.
• Keep discussions car-related and respectful to all communities.

19. Contests & Giveaways

• Any contests, sweepstakes, or giveaways must comply with applicable laws.
• Promotions must be transparent and not misleading.
• Car Hangout may remove or restrict contests that do not meet these standards.

20. Language & Regional Standards

• Posts should be clear and understandable to the intended audience.
• Spammy or irrelevant use of multiple languages is not allowed.
• Regional groups or events should respect local language and cultural norms.

21. Third-Party Links

• Do not post links to unsafe, malicious, or deceptive websites.
• Links must be relevant to cars, events, or community discussion.

22. Manipulated Media & Deepfakes

• Do not share misleadingly altered media (including deepfakes) that could harm, embarrass, or misrepresent others.
• Creative edits are welcome, but must not be used to deceive or damage reputations.

23. Environmental Responsibility

• Do not encourage or promote modifications that illegally bypass emissions or safety regulations.
• Content must align with lawful and responsible automotive practices.

24. Emergencies & Law Enforcement

• If someone is in immediate danger, call local emergency services – do not rely solely on in-app reporting.
• We may cooperate with law enforcement when legally required.

25. Community Cooperation

• Help us keep Car Hangout safe by reporting abusive content, bugs, or vulnerabilities.
• Exploiting the app or other users will result in removal.

26. Reporting & Enforcement

• You can report users, events, or content that violates these Guidelines.
• Enforcement actions may include warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans depending on the severity of violations.
• Appeals will be reviewed, but final enforcement decisions remain at Car Hangout's discretion.

27. Moderator & Admin Authority

• Car Hangout staff and moderators have the final say on enforcement decisions.
• We may remove any content or account that undermines community safety or violates these Guidelines.

28. Protect Your Privacy & Device Security

• Do not post personal information such as addresses, phone numbers, or financial details.
• Respect others' privacy and never share private conversations without consent.
• Users are responsible for keeping their devices and account credentials secure.
